How can I be so confident in stating that this is the best bicep workout around? Well, because it's basic and it's simple, and that's what grows muscle. A biceps workout is no rocket science my friends.
I love training biceps and I’m sure most of you do too. The arms, and especially the biceps are loved by both men and women alike. When someone can see you have some muscularity, what is the first thing out of their mouths?
You guessed it, “Make a muscle?” as they show you their puny little biceps, wanting to see yours. And don’t pretend you don’t like showing off your guns. We all do.
Biceps are a show piece that’s for sure and I’m gonna give you the bicep exercises and a few of the best bicep workouts. However, don’t get too excited training your biceps and neglecting other body parts.
Trust me, you’ll look pretty stupid with great biceps, but terrible tricep and forearm development. You need that tricep workout routine and you need that forearm workout, else you’ll be prone to injury, and did I mention how retarded your arms will look.
First things first. Let’s take a look at the biceps anatomy.

1. Dumbbell Curls 2. Barbell Curls
I know what your saying right now. “Two! That’s it! Come on man, there are way more bicep exercises that? Your on drugs, guy.” Yeah, you’re right. Not about the drugs part, the exercises part. Most of the other bicep exercises are just variations of the above two. However, I’m talking about the best exercises for biceps for the best bicep workout. Then one of these two exercises will take you to the promised land of FREAKIN AMAZING biceps faster than any other way.
Exercise Execution:
1. Dumbbell Curls: Pick up dumbbells and stand with your feet about shoulder width apart. Your hands and dumbbells are beside your body. Curl one dumbbell into your chest, while turning your wrist towards your body. Lower the dumbbell to the starting position. Repeat with the other arm.
Bicep curls can be performed by alternating arms or with both at the same time. Be sure to do the same amount of reps with each arm if you are alternating arms. It’s a good idea to start with your weaker arm and only do as many as you can do with your weak arm in order to develop both arms equally.
2. Barbell Curls: Pick up a barbell with an underhand grip and stand with your feet about shoulder width apart. Curl the barbell into your chest. Lower the barbell to the starting position. Repeat.
With both bicep curls and barbell curls, try not to swing the weight up. Also maintain fairly good form throughout the movement, and attempt to get a good contraction of the biceps at the top of the movement. Full range of movement (all the way up and all the way down) will produce superior strength, and symmetry of the biceps.
Breath in as you lower the weight(the easiest part of the exercise), and breath out as you raise the weight(the hardest part of the exercise). THE BEST BICEP WORKOUT ROUTINE:
Always begin every workout by warming up and stretching.
Choose only one of the following bicep exercises for your biceps workout.
1. Dumbbell Curls 2. Barbell Curls
Use the following set and rep schedule for each exercise in the biceps workout above.
Set 1: Use approximately 60% of work set weight for 10-12 reps. Set 2: Use approximately 70% of work set weight for 6-8 reps. Set 3: Use approximately 85% of work set weight for 1-2 reps. Set 4: Work set weight for 4-6 reps.
Rest time between sets should be just enough time for your breath to almost return to normal. Approximately 1-2 minutes.
Work Set Weight: The weight used in an exercise where you do as many reps as you can until you can’t do any more. This is called going to failure. Once you can perform 6 reps or more, add more weight to overload the muscle in order to increase intensity and get stronger.
TRAINING DAYS:
One day on. Two to three days off. Repeat.

A biceps workout doesn’t need to be fancy, it doesn’t need to be exotic, it doesn’t have to burn, you don’t have to do 3 or 4 exercises, you don’t have to do 21’s or anything complex.
