Who Says You Need A Gym?

great home gym Hate driving to the gym? Wanna save money on a gym membership? Great home workout routines just for you. Yeah, and also for me.

Let's play a game of, “Would you rather.”

Would you rather....

...spend 30-60 minutes driving to and from the gym?
or
...be done a home workout in the same amount of time it takes to get to the gym?

Would you rather....

...spend $50-100 or more per month on a gym membership?
or
...spend $50-100 once, and workout at home?

Would you rather...

...have to wipe some hairy, smelly gorilla sweat off the machine you want to use at the gym?

...not have to?


Yes, there are many good things to be said about a home workout. Personally I've trained for years at a gym in the past and I've used home gym workout routines. I prefer to workout at home and in the last 20 years I've worked out at home just as much as I've worked out at the gym. In fact, for the past 4 years, I've not seen the inside of a gym.

I can almost hear what some of you are saying, “What about seeing the hot girls at the gym or them checking your god like form out?” Good point. Sometimes I do miss that aspect of the gym, but hey, that's what the beach was made for....mans(and womans)vanity. HAHAHA!

Bodyweight Workouts

  • I workout without weights in about half of my workouts. Why? Try combining bodyweight exercises with circuit training and you have a recipe for an awesome intense workout.

    Dumbbell Workout Routine

  • You gotta love dumbbells! You can do just about any exercise with them. In my experience, for home workout routines, dumbbells almost can't be beat.

    Push up Workout Plus

  • Work your triceps, your shoulders and your chest, all in as little as 5 minutes a day or less. Of course you might look awfully funny looking with great tricep, shoulder and chest development sitting on top of a spindly set of chicken legs. For that reason, I'm going to give you a pushup workout that's a lot more than pushups, I call it Push up Workout Plus. Yes, sir, the marines would be proud of this workout.

    The P90X Workout - Does It Work?

  • Is P90X the ultimate home workout or just a load of bull. Check out my no BS take on it.

    You will get fantastic results with these home workout routines. You just have to bring the motivation, you have to bring the desire, bring the hard work and the mental toughness. Bring those things and you will achieve your workout goals. Bring these things and results are guaranteed.

    Home workouts are for me, are they for you?

    I've spent about $2000 on my home gym, but I never plan on returning to the gym. Essentially I've used what I would have spent on a 2 year gym membership and bought a lifetime membership in my own home gym.
    You definitely don't have to spend $2000 on a home gym setup to get an awesome workout. In fact, you'll spend little to none if you do one of the home workout routines above.

    In 50% of my home workout routines, I use only my bodyweight and about 100lbs of dumbbells. The other 50% of my home workouts, I use my gym equipment and train for size and strength/bodybuilding. Even though I have so much equipment I don't really need it, I just want it cause I'm hardcore about working out.

    I love my size and strength bodybuilding routine cause I can shape my body into something like a comic book superhero. But I also love my bodyweight workouts with dumbbells combined with circuit training because I need a challenge and this routine literally puts me on the floor.

    This is just how working out is. For you, you have to find what you like to do, what you want to look like, what you want to get out working out. And if working out at home sounds like its right for you, then I say, do it, I do!
